If you turn on your Hispanic TV networks , nowadays lots of Mexicans are
blaming Argentinian coach/ naturalized players on Football World Cup elimination!
Lots of them are demanding that non mexican born people are not allowed neither to coach nor to play for Mexico anymore!:eek:

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.

For all those who are waiting...I would suggest one more thing, if your file is not touched. My lawyer had sent an email to NSC on Aug 2. I believe that along with my SR might have done the trick.....Sheela Murthy was my lawyer....that too might have helped....Who know what works....but we can all try.....Hope all who are stuck, get their GC by end of this month.

I suspect you are right. Even my lawyer kept the memo ready sent it out on Aug 01 requesting a FP notice and instead i get a "card production" email. The lawyer had indicated that these memo do result in case movement and not many take advantage of the possibility.

8/2: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- IO bought the file to the counter and asked for EVL and also a letter from company stating they support my I140.
I work for Top 5 company in Silicon valley. Company attorney got the required documents in 3 days. IO also generated FInger Printing appointment the same day.
8/11: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- Submitted the EVL and other documents given by the company. IO made copies of our Finger Printing notice.
8/19: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- Officer checked the status of our case and indicated visa number has been assigned. Files are with the same officer.
8/20: Card Production ordered for my wife and myself.

Could someone please, help me with the following situation; HERE IS MY EXPLANATION:
....My permanent employment is in Massachusetts...so from what I read ( from I-140 si I-485 instructions) my permanent employment which is Massachusetts...does not correspond to the Nebraska Service Center...it corresponds to the Texas Service Center. I've noticed this only after my lawyer sent my package to NEBRASKA.

I called IO today, still no information in system about my I-485 application that I filed June 28. What is funny is they can find my H1 extension that I filed on July 22 ??!!
I asked if my case will be transfered to Texas as my I-140 is approved from Texas, answer: Yes it will transferred to Texas IF they need to. So it is not a must. we will see..

Eb3-I would move much slower then snail's pace.
My PD is Jan 04, so I am not sure how many years would it take for my PD to be current. :(
god knows how many years...but one thing i'm sure for my GC will come after 12 Years ...
My son is 6 years old on this 12th Sep 2009 and he will file for my GC at the age of 18...
till then no worry ...enjoy with kids....

All checks cashed June 8th. It was sent to Nebrasks. I hardy just could read the SRC letters in back of my check. Online image in not good. I guess it has gone to Texas sercice center.

TIP: Print them you should be able to read.:) My checks cleared on the same day got the receipts yesterday. So you should be getting them today or tomorrow. I am not sure if attorney can chose whether to send it to you or not.

I am starting this new thread to discuss about EB visas spillover usage based on oldest priority date irrespective of category/country. Currently the spillover happens vertically(a top down approach) from EB1 -> EB2 -> EB3...etc. Instead it should be first used on cases with oldest priority date. This will not only give a good move to clear the backlog but will also be a fair rule for those who are patiently waiting in queue for a long time. I wrote my concern about this to my local congressman. I also request each one of you, who is impacted by this, or who is interested to help us out, to kindly contact your local congressman/woman to express your concern. In turn they can contact USCIS to implement this fair rule to help us all out.

We landed in Canada (Rainbow Bridge, Niagara) last week. No questions asked by Canadian immigration regarding stay in US. On the way back (Rainbow Bridge) US IO did not ask anything about 485 or Canada PR.
We filed AOS in July 2007 and have valid H1 visa in the passports. But it all depends on your luck and we had some personal reasons to land in Canada and we took the risk.
